CAR RENTAL INSURANCE

If you are renting a car for a University approved trip, the car rental is covered under the University's insurance policy. At the time of rental, the insurance coverage offered by the rental car company should be declined. You can obtain a University insurance card by contacting Genny Hughes, EH & S, Ext. 6677.

The preferred method of payment for the car rental would be the University Procurement Card. However, a personal credit card can also be used and you will still have coverage under the University's policy.

RENTING CARS WITH A P-CARD

Please note - The University's insurance policy does not cover international car rentals. In this instance, you need to obtain insurance from the car rental company.
